On October 18th, 2016 by Resolution No. 2016/431, Council for the Municipality of West Nipissing requested a costing from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) for the provision of policing services for the Municipality. Since that date, exchanges of information, as well as inspections and analyses of existing policing operations and facilities have taken place in order for the OPP to provide its proposal.
On November 14th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber for the Municipality of West Nipissing, the OPP will deliver its Costing Proposal to the Council for the Municipality of West Nipissing.
This presentation will be available on Eastlink cable television and on U-Stream (internet live streaming service), which is accessible directly from the main page of the Municipal Website at www.westnipissingouest.ca.
The OPP Costing Presentation, written proposal and the municipality's analysis will be available on this page immediately following the presentation for viewing by all residents of West Nipissing through the links provided below.
In addition, an email address will be available for any resident to ask questions directly relating to the costing or to post a comment. Questions and comments will accumulated and answered by the OPP in the form of an FAQ which will be posted on this website. Individual names of residents posing questions will not be published.

On November 22nd, 2017 a Public Forum will be held at the Marcel Noël Community Hall from 6:30 p.m to 9:00 p.m., in order for residents to ask questions directly of the OPP, the West Nipissing Police Services or staff concerning any matter relating to the Costing. This public forum will be available to the public for viewing on Eastlink Cable television as well as on YouTube.
