Information on Frozen Water and Sewer Services
Due to this winter’s weather patterns, frost depths could potentially freeze water and sewer services in some homes in West Nipissing. The Municipality is asking residents who have experienced frozen services in the past winters, to run a cold-water tap on a continuous basis, until temperatures warm up. Although spring is upon us and temperatures are slowly warming up, on average, year frost is normally out of the ground by May 1st.
Should conditions change the Municipality will post an update. The water flow should be steady, approximately the diameter of a pencil. If you are a new home owner, please contact the municipality at 705 753 2250 to inquire if your property has a history of services freezing. We thank you for your cooperation.
