West Nipissing’s Joie de Vivre is in full force for the IPM
September 9th, 2019
The hydro poles are in, the roads are built, and the tents are up! The International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) site is becoming a day-by-day reality. With little over a week left until the event, visitors will start to roll in this weekend. As the proud host of the 2019 IPM, West Nipissing will soon be sharing its Joie de Vivre with neighbours and visitors from across the province, throughout Canada, and the United States.
The enthusiasm in West Nipissing is contagious! Homes, businesses and schools all over the community are welcoming our guests with displays of scarecrows, barn quilts, flag lines, and farming props. If you have not been out in the community lately, you are missing out. It is definitely worth taking a drive throughout West Nipissing to experience these unique community-wide displays.
We are eager to showcase all things West Nipissing and Northern Ontario! During the IPM, stop by the Northeastern Ontario Pavilion in the Tented City. The Municipality of West Nipissing will be collaborating with partnering Northeastern Ontario Municipalities to offer a unique Northern Ontario tourism experience. Explore the great northern outdoors through interactive displays, experience local arts and culture through daily stage performances, and get a taste of the north with local food and beverage samples.
